The 28th annual 10 Best Cars competition hosted by Car and Driver named its winners in the January 2010 issue. The list was condensed from 58 models, which were mainly comprised of the 2009 Best 10 and those that are going to be released not later than January of next year. There were three areas to consider in the selection process: 1) How well does this car perform its intended mission? Does a given luxury car, for example, ride harshly? Does it sacrifice rear-seat headroom for an aggressive tumblehome? 2) Is this a highly engaging, fun-to-drive vehicle in its category? Does it compel the driver to get in and enjoy it? And 3) What kind of value does it represent? How much goodness does it deliver for its price? (The target price was $35,000 to $80,000 cap)

Basing on those requirements, the nominees were resized to:

From the look of it, you can identify where the concept came from—the Evo MR. In fact, it’s not only the appeal but even the six-speed dual-clutch automated manual gearbox. There is also something new, though. That is the obnoxious rear wing. Still, the full leather upholstery makes up for that. These interior comforts include heated seats and sunroof. Of course, fully dressing the Evo up have tried to conceal the similarity. There are the auto headlamps and insulated windshield that rounds the new trim. 2011 Infiniti M37/M56 sports a direct-injected version of the 5.6-liter V-8 truck engine that claims 420 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Clearly, these trims are the most powerful in the automaker’s vehicle lineup these days.

The 2009 Grammy night might be the most memorable awards night for Rihanna after she was choked to unconsciousness by her boyfriend Chris Brown. And definitely, she wouldn’t forget how a Lamborghini have let it happened. In fact, she had the most exotic ride to the Grammy’s with Chris Brown’s rented silver Lamborghini Spyder model!

How does the silver Lamborghini Spyder look like? I have here a picture of the model Spyder but it is not the real vehicle the couple had their fight. Anyway, this is pretty much like it. The sleek sports car is powered with 5.2 liters V10 engine. It delivers 552 bhp at 8000 rpm and can achieve its first 124 mph in 12.1 seconds.

The rented car is from an exotic car boutique named Platinum Motor Sport in Los Angeles. It is now impounded under a $2,000 per day billing in Chris Brown’s name. There were blood stains found around its hand break. This is reported and explained by one of top crime experts in US who made a CSI-style analysis of the pictures that have been gotten from the interior of the vehicle.

LAPD Detective De Shon Andrews gives all the details of the altercation that has happened between Rihanna and her boyfriend, Chris Brown, on February 8. So much for auto shows. I have here in a list the top 10 of the best concept cars from different major auto makers in the industry. These automobiles are hoped to become available in the future but actually, I doubt it. These vehicles are too beautiful and futuristic to become really available in the market. Also, it seems that these will be exclusive vehicles in the case they really go to production. But then, let us go about the list to see if they will truly be among those that can be made useful to the transporting public.

• Bentley SenseS:

Arturo Peralta designed one of the most futuristic cars ever though of in the industry for Bentley—the Senses. This automobile is going to be like a pet of the driver. With the use of advance technologies like genetic engineering, biotechnology and artificial intelligence, the automobile is set to recognize the needs, emotions, and feelings of its driver. This way, the driver and the senses car will be able to become companions that understand both their needs over time.

• Pivo 2:

As always, Japanese have the thing for small and cutie automobiles. And since the industry is favoring electric cars nowadays, Nissan Motor Co. now designed a bubble looking automobile that is purely electric. Pivo 2’s cabin can turn in a full 360 degrees wit its wheels also capable of turning at 90 degrees. Its braking and steering performances are also high-end with by-wire technologies. The entire appearance of this all-new bubble electric car is really great. Most importantly, its small cabin can be turned independently as well as its wheels to ensure easy parking.

• Nereus:

Ceri Yorath designed the next winged car after the bat car. The car may ordinarily appear in black and blur wings but it changes in color, shape, and dynamics depending its speed and movement. The Nereus ensures that its powerful looks add to its overall elegance. While these automobile will look really great and awesome for everything that it is, it is still one of the doubted vehicles come production time. These same characteristics may even cause it not to be produced in the future. Among the reasons are the materials and the maintenances it will need.

• Energya:

Higgins-Aube Inc has also come up with its 3-wheel light-weight vehicle called Energya. Matus Prochaczka also came up with his own designed concept vehicle called the round car. This space saving vehicle is engineered to make head’s swirl. The wheel looking vehicle comes with a single seat and net of unnecessary accessories. That way, you can sit back and drive with only the most important things and devices you need!

• Aston Martin DBGT:

Brendan Woolsey has designed a Zero emission vehicle that makes use of hydrogen derivatives from the process of electrolysis it is made to go under. This car is going to be named the DBGT to the major auto maker Aston Martin. This sleek and sporty elegant car is going to sport a 6 liter V12 engine that can achieve its first 0 to 62 mph within as fast as 4.3 seconds. But what is really going to make the vehicle a lot different from the rest is its sports body work and fuel plans. These two strong points are powered with a tank of water that splits into hydrogen and oxygen.

This is going to be its fuel that is basically produced by bacteria that feed on the impure water being used to it. The overall idea and concept of the Bimotrik is not only a stylish and futuristic approach but definitely an eco-sensitive one.

• 2030 Concept car:

The 2030 solar power car is the newest design engineered by the great automobile designer Mihai Stamati. The idea is for a vehicle to make as much as 30 Km/hr top speeds with the energy provided by the sun. Another requirement also is for this car to carry as many as 4 people in its cabin. Another version of the 2030 concept car is being eyed, and this time, there is going to be a lot of space for more people.

For 5 days, my post has stayed around the 15 cars that someone in the right mind wouldn’t drive around the streets and highways of the state. But who really knows? If I am thinking of driving the kaba car or the armadillo, you might even think of riding or driving the snake car! That is the last car I would try riding or driving. I really don’t mean to hate snakes but I cannot live with these shiny and soft reptiles near me. What if they felt like they are hungry and needs some meat? Too much for trainer-acknowledging pets! Id rather ride the others but not this vehicle!

Anyway, I have here the last 4 of the weirdest and wackiest automobiles of all times. Look as you might have seen one of these around the neighborhood. These automobiles are not really legal in the city highways but these maybe cruising on one of the back country streets of your place.

12. Jet Rocket Car on the streets of LA:

Here comes the jet rocket car that can come careening in the street and not in the universe. The automobile is equipped with a tubular body and a design that really looks pretty much the same as a space shuttle. The windshield is also cut down in that three-point style. The façade has nothing so much to embody but the rear part is really designed to look like a shuttle. It is rimmed with tubing where the exhaust is to spit and ribbed for accentuation. There are 6 wheels for this car, motorcycle wheels. The rear is doubled while the front comes individually. As an overall impression, the automobile looks pretty cute when on the streets; although it is sad that there will be no reason for it to be really used legally or to be produced on one of these days.

13. Crapster:

Now, here is the crapster! This is actually an automobile that is designed to appear like a toilet bowl, complete with its water tank and bowl lid. It also has wheels, two smaller ones on the front and another two on the rear that are also larger. The wheels on the front are like from small bicycles while those on the rear are like from the larger bicycles. Then there is a carpet-looking strip on the bowl seat. I think it is a form of carpeting for the purpose of sitting. The water tank top is also covered with the same carpet-looking fabric. That part may be for the purpose of sitting, too.

When riding it, you either go inside the bowl or you sit on the bowl’s carpeted seat. There is no steering wheel so you have to make use of your feet if you want to enjoy a controlled ride. Although it may look pretty cute and wacky, the idea is not as cool as the others because there is no way you can actually drive the ‘crapster’. All you can do is sit on or step into it and let someone push the bowl car or place it on a descending pavement.

I know what you are thinking; this list is taking me too long I might consume a whole week with only these posts. But then, the entire list is really long, I have to post it in chunks. Besides, I have to find information regarding each vehicle; all the more making the entire posting procedure a lot longer for me. But anyway, I am already trying to finish the list. So this is going to be the fourth part of the 15 Cars You Wouldn’t Dare to Drive. Here, I am supposed to list the remaining 6 weird designed cars. This will include one of the cutest vehicles I have seen and also my favorite. Okay, I have 2 favorites: the Armadillo Car and the one in this list, the Kaba Car. I liked The Armadillo being a really armor type and the Kaba, the cute one.

10. Kaba Car:

The kaba car is a Hippo-looking automobile that is used to promote the kabaya sweets since the World War II in Japan. This vehicle has never been looked well in shiny red with the entire front looking like a real Hippo. The hood is designed with nostrils that are separated in two and at the sloping top, the eyes and ears are also equipped. The hood looks a little ajar that represents the mouth of the Hippo. The lower part is finished in yellow to accentuate the appearance of the vehicle. To continue the Hippo appearance of the vehicle, the fenders are also designed with feet-looking bloats. To ensure that everyone identifies the feet, the nails are colored with white. The entire auto body is also made a little bulky although sleek.

11. Car with High Heels:

Here is another dazzling in red car—the high heels car! The vehicle comes complete with anything you see on the fascia of an ordinary vehicle. There are headlights on the sides and the wheels are like those of motorcycles. The rear part is where the exhaust and its tip protrude. The interior is also equipped with a lone bucket seat, which only shows that there will only be 1 passenger in this posh vehicle. Although the performance of this vehicle is yet to be unveiled, it looks a lot easier to drive; although a little disturbing since the back part extends vertically as far as twice the tallness of the seat.

Letting the caped crusader’s legend die is never an option for die hard fanatics! Automakers might have missed the idea of replicating the Bat mobile but not the people who wish to have one. In fact, there have been a lot of do-it-yourself bat mobiles in the industry since the Bruce Wayne started to conquer not only the movie industries but also the mind and heart of his continually growing in numbers fanatics. One of the very first significant DIY Bat mobile put into records was the one designed and developed by Mark Shields in 1978.

Mark Shields Bat Mobile

Mark Shields Bat mobile was out of his 1978 Corvette. The idea came up to Mark Shields since the Corvette is styled and designed pretty much like the Bat mobile except there is no front tunnel as well as wings on both its quarter panels. But the fanatic and automobile enthusiast really made a great job with his Bat mobile. From the sleek and sporty elongated front black coupe, he cut the middle front off and made a replica of the Bat mobile front. He also added vertical wings-like spoiler just like that of the real Bat mobile that the caped crusader used to cruise the Gotham City with.

The top part of the corvette was also added with an accentuating auto body, making it pretty much like the original Bat car in the movie. And to finish it off, the hubs of the wheels were also added with bat logos while the spokes and the rims were all repainted with black. That way, it really looked a sleek and sporty Bat mobile!

Themes Car 4 U Bat Mobile

Another very important DIY bat mobile is the one designed and created by Themes Car 4 U. This Britain custom automobile maker has been featured in the ‘Pride of Britain Awards 2008’. This replica Bat mobile is matte dark grey with the front cut out and features the famous front grille of the original Bat mobile. Then, there are the upward extended quarter panels that look like fins than wings. The cabin is also styled just like what was seen in the movie. It is tightly closed with the rear part a bit protruding. There is also a exhaust pipe that is right at the side of the vehicle where the doors should be. This pipe is a bit concealed with the caved in design of that area. The wheels and spokes were finished with the same dark grey matte with the hub in silver and the bat logo in black. The fuel cap is also in silver, making it look like a big white mole in all the dark grey finish the vehicle has.

1989 Bat Mobile replica

Another significant DIY bat mobile in the records and history is the 1989 replica. This one is pretty much the same with the Theme Cars 4 U in design and style but with the front grille downplayed and the entire finish glossy. The wheels and its spokes as well as the hubs were also painted in all black, making the black logo unidentified even in broad daylight. Although it may look sleek and sporty but there’s little to say about this 1989 replica Bat mobile.

Bob Dullam recreated the Tumbler

The tumbler was another significant Bat mobile, which had been the passion of some of car enthusiasts like Bob Dullam. He then made a true to life tumbler. This vehicle has 3 wheels where the rear ones are large off-road ones; those that are used for rock climbing and rugged terrains. The front one is definitely smaller but also wide. The body of the Tumbler is pretty much the same as of an armor car, even the color and finish are. The top can be lifted, which will also remind the driver as well as the onlookers how the black crusader will go in and out of this great car when he needs to do a vigilante job in person.

Grant Hodgson’s Tumbler

Another DIY of the Tumbler is designed and created by Grant Hodgson. This Bat mobile has 4 wheels with the front large and wide but the rear pretty much wider and larger. The front tires are spiked with squares while the rear are spiked with larger geometrical figures, which will remind you of the rock climbing tires used on utility vehicles. The auto body is much like of an armor car. It also has a windshield that is like a cut out in its front auto body. The sides of the auto body are also designed with geometrical figures that look just like the original tumbler in the movie. The top part of the Bat mobile is also where the driver is supposed to come out or come in. I just don’t think this vehicle will be a legal automobile on the streets with the rest of civil vehicles.

1966 Bat mobile built by Russ Martin from a 1977 Lincoln Continental

Russ Martin also made a nice Bat Mobile with his 1977 Lincoln Continental. This vehicle though made a play on red and black colors that in first look, you might mistake it for a Martian vehicle! LOL! No, I just thought it was and meant no offense to the great maker. The windshield of the vehicle was made into like a space shuttle where some tubes are seen on the top most and another set of three on the rear most, right at the middle of the trunk. There is also a spiked exhaust tip on the V-shaped rear and an antenna just above it. The wings on the rear are downplayed but expanded to cover the doors to rear end of the vehicle. There were also logos on the hubs of the wheels but are not enticing enough as the tires and wheels were not customized for effects. The front doors also bear bat logos in reds.


Oscar Pumpin’s DIY Batmobile

Another recorded bat mobile was the one designed and created by Oscar Pumpin. Although it may look like a small toy, it also captures some of the great features of the Bat mobile of Bruce Wayne. The vehicle has its vertical wings0like spoiler that will cut drag and wind lift, cabin that will opena dn close to the driver’s entrance and exit, front grille that’s also a cut out from the entire front end of the vehicle, and the remaining two front parts a bit protruding that encases the wheels. The front tunnel though has a bumper-like part, which looks much different from the real Bat mobile. In fact, it looks like teeth in its metallic silver finish. Judging from the front most area of the vehicle, you can say that his going to be fast and furious because of its tipped and aerodynamic styling.

Some Bat mobile

This is a cute Bat mobile that might have captured the features of the cartoon Bat car. This is boxy but will still look like a Bat vehicle. It has carved sides that goes back to its original size as it approaches the rear wheels and continues once again to tip on the rear to showcase the wings of the car. The cabin is also a cute rectangular part that also features a tipped part on the rear most. The cabin will open up conventionally, cutting the middle of the side panels from the rear wheel housing. The front also has a design that looks like ribbed white things. And the top of the hood with something like a scoop that can be opened or closed each time the need arises. The grille features a design of slits of twos in verticals and fours in horizontals. The overall effect is a cartoonish but excellent replica of the Bat car!

The off-roads will never be as fun and great without the all new Jeep Renegade 2008! This is a two-seater off-road muscled car that has cut-down windshield, making it look a big tough toy on off-roads. To complement this cut-down style, the lower areas of the doors were also cut out. This will surely provide fresh, cool air rushing in the cabin so there’s no need to consume much more fuel for powering an air conditioner. Besides, there shouldn’t be any reason to be using the air conditioning when you are out for the roads less traveled. You are supposed to be communing with nature so try not to sophisticate the overall environment by using air conditioners.

The 2008 Jeep Renegade may look bet with its cut down windshield and doors with lower sections cut out but it’s never downplays with the power Jeeps are known about. This cutie is powered with a small-displacement BLUETEC diesel engine, which is combined with a lithium-ion battery pack that together can make more than 110 miles per gallon. This minimalist off-road vehicle is truly a dream come true to vehicle owners who are in search for truly fuel economic automobile without sacrificing any of its performance and elegance. In fact, its cute but sporty appearance will surely make a good impression for the young but adventurous crowd.

The overall appearance of the 2008 Jeep Renegade is everything that speaks about nature and the environment. It comes in fresh green, which if you come across verdant fields will become a camouflage for it. It blends perfectly with the chromed dark grey panels that outline the auto body ends of the vehicle. Then it is completed with a pair of tail lights with orange red covers that are also complemented with the same colors of front and back bumper ends’ flashers. Its headlights are also as powerful and good looking as the taillights but this time, it is a bit kept within its dark grey chromed rim. As a completing pattern to the overall superficial styling of the Renegade, the vertical large slits cut outs on the front will make for an excellent cooling design for the under the hood working parts.

The exterior of the Jeep Renegade 2008 edition is not the only big thing for the vehicle, the interior is much grander and sportier. The entire span of the cabin is in the same darker grey as of the outlining patterns outside the vehicle. The two bucket seats are also in a dark color with greens outlining the shape and designs of the seats. The dashboard and the glove compartments are also outlined with greens making it easy to distinguish in the dark. The center console is also outlines in metallic silver so it is easily seen even in the dark. There is also an arm rest that houses the shifter and maybe an additional place where to put your personal items.

All in all, Jeep really made a great deal with the new 2008 Jeep Renegade. It will never be a waste of money and effort having one of these grand vehicles in your garage for the beauty, functionality, and fuel economy that it can offer. If there will be something that will make you a bit worried on owning it will be maintenance. This is because of the fact that the Renegade is made for the outdoors; and having it all open for fresh air and thereby dust and other unwanted elements, you will be compelled to clean it every so often.

Got the millions to spend on the most popular sports cars in the auto world? Many don’t see the need to spend that much, but there are really some who will go out of their way and buy one!
