911 GT3 R Dethrones S

Year ago, the 911 GT3 Cup S must be the best race car in the 911 series. That’s no longer true now with the 911 GT3 R unveiled. The new high performance sports car was first shown at the Racing Car Show, which was held during the Autosport International. This took place in Birmingham, UK.

The new 911 GT3 R weighs 1200 kilograms and sports a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Its engine is expected to generate 480 horsepower, a good 30 horsepower lead to GT3 Cup S model. The R model will also have an anti-lock brake system, traction control, and an e-gas that has a throttle-blip function.
