Another sports car that went on display in the recently concluded Tokyo Auto Salon was the FT-86 G Sports concept car. This is another white complex with dark hood sports car that is accentuated with red over the edges. The two-seater sports a turbo charged 2.0 liters four cylinders boxer engine that came from Subaru. The FT-86 was the first to use one of the many G Sports styling kits of the Japanese automaker. These kits though are just for the Japanese automobile market so we won’t actually be seeing some vehicles sporting them around.
Nissan is not the only attraction during the Tokyo Auto Salon, Toyota too! The MR2 Sports Hybrid concept was unveiled in the show and left some mouths agape. The stunner come clear, white and some brushes of dark paint on the sides and hood that ran down the bumper. The intention was also clear: to promote fun rides starting with the cool MR2.

Together with Gazoo, Toyota’s racing and tuning partner, the GRMN MR2 was finally unveiled. It is a two-seater, all-wheel drive in the MR2 platform. It is powered with a 3.3-litre V6 plus together with Toyota’s THSII hybrid system. The idea is to allow the engine power the rear wheels and the hybrid system the front wheels. The combination is expected to generate an approximate 400 horsepower. It is also expected to achieve its 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and weighs 1500 kilograms.

UK’s The Guardian has it: Volkswagen passed world’s largest automaker Toyota Motors and America’s biggest General Motors.
It might actually a play of numbers but there are facts to support this. The German automaker had recently taken over Porsche, which makes them a 4.4-million automobile builder as of today. Still, that is 400,000 beyond Toyota’s creation. But with the Japanese automaker’s closed plants, there is nothing more to expect from them. Now, VW also got the biggest market share from the European version of Cash for Clunkers. These realities have finally got the marquee on top.
Still, The Guardian is not expecting this to last too long. Toyota is eyeing a 70% total production this year from their yearly capacity of 10 million. If the figures are realized, that will strip VW back to where it belonged.
All you truck lovers out there, this one is for you! I think you will agree with me if I say this 2010 Toyota Tundra video rocks! Its alright and the new model just deserves one.

I just got one question here. I thought the auto industry is at its lowest? I can bet my top dollar this Toyota Tundra 2010 commercial is worth more than its production costs (or so I thought).
Being placed on the spotlight is something that is never new with Lexus. For years, I have constantly seen this make in reliability surveys and beauty awards. This time, it is also invading another category—safety. For the first time, the manufacturer’s Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) will be equipped in the 2009 Lexus GS 450h.
Driving a powerful automobile as Lexus will surely inspire us to rev up, which the manufacturers expect us to do. As a precautionary measure, the VDIM is equipped in the system of the GS 450h to ensure that the vehicle will endure the impacts of collisions. This system incorporates a lot of sensors which can brake wheels individually, ease off of the throttle, and even provide subtle steering assistance. All these are intended to help the driver maintain control on slippery roads and during untoward incidences. It will sense over throttle in a split second and help prevent excessive wheelspin for maximum grip during accidents.
With this, Lexus just gave us another reason to yearn for the new GS 450h. Who knows, this model might be the next most beautiful car or reliable car in its class this year?
Glooming economy, automakers turning their backs to their concept cars, and now Toyota is going crazy? Oh, it’s the new Aygo Crazy! The 200 hp mid-engine concept car from the world’s biggest automaker will be debuting earlier than planned. This toy for the tough boys is going for a wild ride with Peter Dumbreck, the guy who stunned the Japanese GT series with a 500-hp Lexus, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed come July 11 to 13.

We will be seeing more of this speedster soon at the British International Auto Show in London where we will also hope to get more specifics regarding its performance and other attributes. For now, let’s just enjoy a little pictorial…

You know what Toyota means to me? It is a reliable automobile! And I would definitely opt for a Toyota over expensive European ones. Why not if it is also good looking, efficient, and highly reliable? And their new offering, the Toyota Verso, unveiled during the Geneva Motor (auto) Show, is another marvel! This bigger ‘Matrix’ is going to the European market. It’s a practical seven-seat vehicle with the second and third rows made easier to fold to accommodate cargo. Reminds you of Easy Fiat-7? This is definitely much better.

Verso will be available in 1.6L and 1.8L Valvetronic gas engines, which will be equipped with six-speed manual transmissions. The 1.8L engine will also receive Toyota’s Multidrive S Continuously Variable Transmission. By July, there will also be an additional variant which will sport 2.0L diesel and a carried-over 2.2L diesel mated to new six-speed automatic transmissions.

New to this European-market Toyota model is its improved fuel economy by up to 20 percent and 12 percent in its emissions.
